Braun claims it should last 18 months. Make that a few weeks or months, even with careful use. Holes develop, making the screen useless. I’ve have the same problem on two Brauns and a Remington. I went back to a Norelco rotary.

I’ve owned a Braun 4700 shaver for close to four years and have purchased two of these replacement foil/blade sets. In the past, I’ve quickly moved from other electric shavers (Norelco) back to conventional blades. Braun’s shaver holds up after years of daily use, and the replacement foil/blades work very well. As another reviewer points out, generally the replacements don’t seem to hold up as well as what comes with the shaver; however, I’ve never owned anything as consistent, or anything I’d hold up against a conventional razor with hot water, etc. Not only is the shave quite good, I also feel like I’m getting a great deal when I compare spending $30 every year to year-and-a-half to spending untold dollars on disposal razors or blades. It should also be noted that there are several replacements for the 4700 shaver that have slightly different packaging. This specific one seems more substantial than the last one I purchased.

Circumstances indicated that I change from blade shaving to an electric shaver. I secured the Braun product. Most delighted with the shaver as it performs as well, (if not better) than a blade shaver. I wanted to have a back up Foil and Cutter replacement on hand, as the instructions indicated that it should be changed every 18 months.
This product is carried by Amazon and the item was shipped immediately, well packaged and fairly priced.

I had looked for the replacement Braun Series 3 combo 30 B pack and had a hard time finding outlets which handled this product. So to the internet and found what I was looking for and at a good price, plus they sent some discount coupons for another vendor that I use and I saved even more money which has paid for the shaver heads…
